Don't bother parking here. The last 3/4 mile of Alexander Ridge road that leads to the parking lot is a rough dirt/gravel mix with some seriously deep mud holes. Unless you drive a monster truck it's going to take you longer to get here than another parking spot. Park somewhere else and you can be biking sooner rather than later. The trees, however, are fantastic. If you want peace and quiet in a dense forest, this might be your spot.
The trail is challenging but a lot of fun! I wish the field up top was mowed for a quick path back to the parking lot for an emergency or to grab tools if needed. Please mow a small path to keep the thorn bushes at Bay.
